Welcome to the King's Church Cockermouth website. King's Church is a group of ordinary people living in Cockermouth and surrounding areas who worship an extraordinary God.
On Sundays we meet at Cockermouth School at 10.30am to worship God, hear teaching from the bible and enjoy fellowship together over fresh coffee and cakes.
During the morning there is a supervised creche and children's and teens groups. You're welcome to come along and meet us!
During the week we have numerous meetings in homes as well as prayer meetings and youth and kids clubs. Find out more about us...
We're starting to review as a Church our vision and values. However, before looking at the details, we need to see the bigger picture of our mission. Roger looked at this with us in the context of Isaiah 53-55. These verses speak to his people who, of themselves cannot bear fruit - it is only by the grace of God that they will be fruitful. The promise of fruitfulness is one of growth. This growth means that we will be stretched which can be painful and we need to be strenghtened to cope with it. One of the themes of Isaiah is of restoration. God is restoring his church to his original purposes.
